By day, I am a corporate creative in healthcare, spending my 9-to-5 behind a desk, sitting through meetings, answering emails and occasionally mentally planning her next art project. By night, I often trade the laptop for paintbrushes, clay-covered hands and whatever creative rabbit hole has captured my attention.
Painting and pottery are my first artistic loves, but I am generally incapable of leaving well enough alone when it comes to art. If there’s something new to make, paint, sculpt, design, glue, glaze or otherwise experiment with, I’m probably going to try it.
For me, creating is equal parts escape, curiosity and controlled chaos. My work doesn’t necessarily stick to one medium, one style or even one plan, because neither do I.
Mostly, I make art because it makes me happy.
